About Oliver Borrow (BA Hons)
Purple Paphiopedilum
Coming from rural Norfolk, Oliver grew up with a love and understanding of the landscape and the outdoors.
Leaving Norfolk he went to study horticulture at Pershore College of Horticulture, one of the country's leading horticultural colleges and received both a National Certificate and a National Diploma in Ornamental Horticulture. Whilst at Pershore Oliver was creatively and practically involved in the design and construction of two medal winning courtyard gardens at The Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Being inspired to use plants and landscapes as an art medium, he decided to further his education at Leeds Metropolitan University. It was at Leeds, studying the aesthetic value and workings of plants and the landscape that he discovered a passion for photography and recording beautiful and unusual parts of the world around us. He graduated from Leeds with a BA (Honours) Degree in Garden Art and Design.
Now based in Brighton, East Sussex, Oliver is working as a garden artist and designer.
